Runstate resuming dr Well, after fighting against it for years for various reasons, I'm implementing resuming runstates in kismet-newcore. What does this mean? Basically that along with normal logfiles, Kismet will create a runstate file that snapshots the state (networks seen, dump files enabled, etc). Future Kismet sessions can be resumed using that state file, so they append to the existing log files and show the same networks previously found. Ultimately, these files will also be parseable by the new client (which hasn't even been started) and browsed in some fashion without starting the server. The start of support for state saving and resuming is in newcore currently, but network saving is incomplete, so resuming a state will just clobber your nettxt/netxml files. Expect a post in the future when support is complete.
