Legend drawing is finally implemented in GPSMap.  'gpsmap -k ...', it's good stuff.  Automatically 
adapts the columns shown to the type of map you're drawing.  Some examples 
<a href="http://kismetwireless.net/maps/marpow.png">here</a> and 
<a href="http://kismetwireless.net/maps/pok.png">here</a>.  Slightly out of date, the latest code
draws the center and the scale as well.

GPSMap also has some new speed boosts in the network circle drawing code which should be helping 
rendering quite a bit.  Some minor speed boosts elsewhere, too.
