Subject:Fatal error when starting Kismet at terminal.

The aironet drivers are so old they probably don't act like any of the other drivers, and there isn't much support for them anymore.

Your simplest route would be to grab a cheap USB card like an Alfa off amazon, it will have a lot better performance in general (much more sensitivity and tx power), understand 11g, and support external antennas.
