Subject:gpsxml questions on 00:00:00:00:00:00 bssids and sources
Date:06:01:46 21/10/2010

Hi, I saw another user posted on this but didn't appear to post final results. I am getting a number of entries in the gpsxml file containing both bssid 00:00:00:00:00:00 and source 00:00:00:00:00:00. After looking at the packets in wireshark I was able to match them to acknowledgment frames as opposed to beacon frames.

In the old kismet would get sources that were 00:00:00:00:00:00 but never bssids that were 00:00:00:00:00:00. But not sure if those were due to acknowledgment frames.

Is this how its supposed to work in newcore? Is there a way to turn off dumping of these frames? I suppose I could just filter them out afterwards. I'm just not sure if there are other cases besides acknowledgment frames where 00:00:00:00:00:00 would get reported for both bssid and source.

Thanks for any help you can give. -J
