Subject:Error on server startup

> I am new to Kismet. I have downloaded the latest release, run the configure, make, and install. I am running CentOS based on the 2.6.18 kernel. I downloaded, compiled, and installed the libnl 1.0-pre8 component to get everything to pass the configuration step. I have edited my Kismet.conf file to use my wlan0 as my source. When the server comes up, I get the following error:
> INFO: Kismet starting to gather packets
> /usr/local/bin/kismet_server: symbol lookup error: /usr/local/bin/kismet_server: undefined symbol: genl_connect
> I have tried looking for what might be causing this error, but I haven't found any clues. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Something is screwed up in your system libs.

I'm guessing you installed libnl somewhere not in your LD_LIBRARY_PATH. The compiler found it, but your system can't find it at runtime.

genl_connect isn't a kismet function, it's something from a library.
