If it has an in-kernel driver it tends to work fine.

Ath9k in cardbus form will work, with new (2.6.32 and newer) kernels, the alfa-n usb device will work.

It won't (necessarily) sniff 11n, but it'll get abg (and maybe, n, depends on the drivers)
