Thanks for the reply. I am asking because I'm trying to parse some netxml and gpsxml files with a script I'm currently working on. If I update my kismet, there are still other people running around using older versions that are likely to encounter these entries. I need to know what my script should do with them, but from the looks of your reply I'm guessing I can safely ignore them. I have scanned the pcapdump you asked for in wireshark (though wireshark lists most of the packets as malformed or unrecognized) and found what packets cause these null entries, here's an example:

I've updated kismet to the latest svn. Will go for another run and report back the findings soon.
