So,how are you getting around this?

Starting kismet_server in one console and kismet_client in another? And when you resize/maximize the client it no longer crashes or goes partially/all black?

I can confirm in Ubuntu 8.04 w/ both 2009-05-RC2 & 2009-06-R1 resizing the console results in the UI apparently locking up (goes partially/all black depending on how much is resized, alerts/sounds stop, etc.). This occurs when running kismet via the all in one "kismet" command in a suidinstall installation.
