Subject:Sometime during transmission -> Server is not reporting card power levels. No signal information is avaiable

Usually kismet display Received Signal Strength (dBm) correctly but sometime (for a bit of time) during continuous transmission appear, in the "Wireless Card Power" panel, the following message:
Server is not reporting card power levels. No signal information is avaiable

test bed description:
Two Dell laptops are pinging each others in 802.11a (ch 48) using interface wlan0 set in AdHoc mode.
Kismet is tuned in 48 channel (hopping disabled) capturing packets from interface mon0 set in Monitor mode. Kismet is also capturing GPS signal correctly.
Intel Pro Wireless 3945 card; iwl3945 driver

Kismet (as Wireshark) is not able to report Noise because of bug in iwl3945 driver but I can't understand why sometimes (for few seconds) it can't report Signal Strength.

Do you think is another bug in driver or what?

When ping is switched off in both laptops, Kismet is still able to report Signal Strength but it seem less frequently.

Does Kismet report instantaneous Signal Strength from all kind of received packets or is an average value calculated on beacon?

Thanks for all
