Subject:Cannot 'make' kismet

Hello I am new to the world of Linux and have installed Fedora 8 on a Lenovo T60 computer. All is well in terms of drivers for hardware but I cannot seem to get Kismet installed. I have downloaded several GCC and ran the ./configure but when I try to make the file I get the following:

make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.

I would post the config.log file but it is huge. There is one point during the ./configure report on the terminal that I see something that causes me to believe that this might be causing the problem and that is:

checking for special C compiler options needed for large files... no
checking for group 'man'... checking for initscr in -lncurses... no
checking whether stat accepts an empty string... no
checking return type of signal handlers... void
checking whether byte ordering is bigendian... no

That is pretty much it. Let me know if I should post the config.log file if that will help.
