Thank you for the reply.

I am using the current stable release so I will try to use named pipe.

I have enabled FIFO in the config file but now when I start Kismet I get

FATAL: Could not connect to localhost:2501

If I comment out the FIFO line, Kismet starts up as normal. Is there something else I need to do to get the named pipe working?
