To conplete the answering of my own questions, I believe I've got the answer, and thought to add it in case it helps anyone else out there.

Best Long/Lat is the obvious: the long/lat connected with the highest signal strength recorded. If signal strength isn't recorded (which is the case with some card configs) then the Best can't be worked out... hence no Best data. Which seems to have been the case with out drive.
