I tried both of your suggestions, but neither seemed to work.
When I ran the ./configure, it warned me that the gtk target would not be configured. It couldn't find pkg-config or gtk-config, and concluded that gtk is not installed. So 'make wispy_gtk' returned a nice long column of errors ; )
