Subject:GPS Drops Fix every few seconds

Every network I log during that time gets coordinates of -90, 180 or something like that. My GPS sends NMEA packets every second, and watching it on xgps the fix comes reliably every second even kismet is reporting no fix for quite a period of time. I'm running kismet 2006.04-R1 as included in Debian Unstable. Anyone know how I could get the GPS fix stuff to work? I've tried gpsmodelock true and false, with no change. Thanks,

Yea, I had severe problems in December '05 (http://kismetwireless.net/Forum/General/Messages/1134561582.3507631). I don't know what has been fixed since because I have been using the old version of gpsd.

You're probably best not asking on the gpsd mailing list, I seem to remember a reply informing me that there was nothing wrong with gpsd and it was a fault in Kismet!

Cheers.
