Subject:Kismet GUI / gKismet won't show gps info
Date:18:23:07 06/03/2006

Hello,
after updating from kismet-2004-10-R1 to kismet-2005-06-R1 or kismet-2005-08-R1 (i don't know it anymore) the kismet GUI und gKismet won't show me any gps infos. The gps logfile is empty.

The gps device (serial, should be a garmin) works, i can see gps infos which gpsdrive v2.04.

Kismet_server says: Opened GPS connection to localhost port 2947
kismet.conf:
# Do we have a GPS?
gps=true
# Host:port that GPSD is running on. This can be localhost OR remote!
gpshost=localhost:2947
# Do we lock the mode? This overrides coordinates of lock "0", which will
# generate some bad information until you get a GPS lock, but it will
# fix problems with GPS units with broken NMEA that report lock 0
gpsmodelock=true

changing gpsmodelock to false does not make any difference.

I run the gpsd shipped with gpsdrive:

root 3714 ttyS0 Ss+ 18:54 0:00 gpsd -p /dev/ttyS0

OS: Gentoo Linux Portage 2.0.53 (default-linux/x86/2005.1, gcc-3.3.6, glibc-2.3.5-r2, 2.6.12-gentoo-r10 i686)
