render, you have mail; i didn't have time to clean up these screen shots but they should convey the general idea. btw, i'm using the GPSd-enabled version and was able to use that successfully through VPC with an etrex. it took some work to get the serial-->USB adapter working on OS X (I'm using a Dynex cable) and a little more work to get it seen under VPC, but everything is solid after the initial setup.
