It seems I'm having a version mismatch problem that I don't know how to resolve:
- I follow your steps and get kismet up and running on wrt54g (IP 10.66.1.16). It seems ready just waiting for a client to connect, but my laptop is not able to connect. If I run kismet_server on my laptop (IP 10.66.1.17) I get that message:

So it seems it is a mismatch version somewhere. That's the message shown on linksys:
