Linux only? rtl8187l.. alfa awus036h.. and for mac with usb? probably atheros.. you maybe lucky to use zydas 1211 chipset or rebranded as atheros ar5007ug however one can only hope it will work with mac osx.. apart from that maybe airpcap from cace technologies might be another method.
