Subject:Good Hardware for Kismet?

It depends on what sort of card you want. There are PCI-E, PCI, mini-PCI-E, mini-PCI, USB, CF, and cardbus (PCMCIA mostly).

The old orinoco uses hermes I, they aren't easy to track down and you need to flash the firmware in some cases to be able to get it into monitor mode.

The news posted is fairly old.. Intersil has already been bought over by Crapaxent (Conexant) and Conexant are well known to be least tolerable with the linux community.

There are many more wireless cards supported these days but you need to look around more and do some research on the chipset and linux's compatibility without using ndiswrapper.
